Can LCD computer monitors be used as HDTV monitors. I have a old Princeton SENergy750 with digital DVI inputs collecting dust. I want to use it as a HDTV. I don't want to hook it up just try and see and fry the electronics (it my backup monitor).

Anyone know if it will work?

Thanks

What is the native resolution of the monitor? I want to say 1280 x 1024, and it will display a interlaced or progressive image. Where we will run into a problem is anything displayed on the monitor that isn't the monitor's native resoultion would result in sub par pic quality.

It shouldn't fry the monitor but it's not going to look real good.

Thanks, for the answer. So you are saying it should not damage my monitor. But you don't know if it will produce a HDTV quality image on my monitor. Correct?
