can 61.5, 72.7 and 110 coexist?

I'm using all legacy equipment, can this setup work?

No..You MUST have MPEG 4 receivers to receive signals from the eastern are(72.7 and 77) satellites....
What is it you are trying to accomplish?
OOPS...MPEG4 models are the 221k, 622, 612 ,722 and 722k..NOTE....Oldest versions of the 622 and 722 are NOT MPEG4 eastern arc compliant.

Just wanting to know what is on Sat 110 that is not on 61.5, 77, and 72.5 sats? Locals? What is the advantage of this setup 110- 61.5- 77 and 72.5?? I am on the EA sats.

Viper,

This would be great for any subscriber that does not yet have locals on either Eastern Arc or HD locals on 129.

For me I use an OTA antenna for my locals but I subscribe to my Local SD channels via satellite to get guide data, as without it Name Based Recording is useless.

The reason I want to go with 110 instead of 77 is to keep the AAD HD distants. I have a couple of 211s and a 722s and get MPEG4 HD.

Do you think not having 77 and having 110 instead will be a problem when doing a check switch?

Any setup of dishes will work as long as you have signal and have the switches working.

In my case there are back up locals for my area that are actually coming in stronger than off of 61.5. Also almost all national pay per views and radio channels are duplicated like on 77 sat. I originally had it up for the All American HD Distants from L.A. , but I don't sub to them anymore due to HIGH prices . Besides, I get all my hd locals from Houston, including CW, so I really didn't need the distants from L.A. anymore.

Is there a way to force the receiver to use 72.7 as the default when HD channels are on both 72.7 and 110? ESPN HD, TNT HD, HDNET and WGN HD all come in from weak transponders from 110 out here in fringeland and 72.7 comes in better.

As mentioned earlier, I have a 61.5, 72.7 and 110 setup

Sorry to bump a 3 month old thread

sadly the receiver picks and chooses when there are dupes

Dumb question....do you need 110? Everything on 110/119 is on 61.5/72 except for some SD locals and AAD distants

Yes, need it for AAD

Weird, as earlier it was choosing only 72.7, now it went to choosing 110. In the event of signal loss on 110, does it pick 72.7?

Nope it does not fall over to the other satellite. It just flip flops during the day as the tables load many times throughout the day. The design of the satellite receiver never intended on weird setups in fringe areas so you won't see features like preferred satellite position, etc.

How do I know if my dish+receivers can receive MPEG4.

I have a 722 and 722K and a dish that points to 110, 119 and 129. I also have the HD+Platinum package.
