Does anyone have a phone number for a Dish CSR that can be called from a Canadian cell number in Canada?
A Canadian who owns a second property in the States with Dish service has a problem trying to call Dish from Canada.
Thanks for the reply.

Well, you can always call a Long-Distance provider such as MCI or ATT that has a Canadian access number (available on their website). They will then take your credit card and bill you for an operator-assisted international call to connect to the US only 800 number, which is not cheap, especially if you are stuck on hold. If Dish has a non-800 number, they hide it pretty well. Sorry. Hopefully someone else has a better idea. I have had to do this sometimes when I am overseas.

Just tell the sub to either

1. *69 the phone number
2. Get vonage or some other web-based phone company with an American number..

First *69 does not block the calling number on any 800 or 900 service.

Second, alebowgm is giving good advice, though Vonage USED to require a US Credit card on first subscribing.

Thanks for all replies to date.
Anyone else with a non toll free number that could be used for legal property owners and Dish subs. that are not US citizens?
