Ok I live an a community that restricts how you can wire your house for cable (yeah military). The house was wired with two coaxial cables to each room. But it only has one coaxial cable runing into the house to a media box. The installer for directv had to run another cable all over the place to a 6x8 multi-switch into the media box. Was wondering if I could run a single line from the dish to the media box then to the receivers. I currently have four recievers one being a DVR with dual tuner. What would be the best way to limit the number of wires. I really hate the one that runs in the door and up the wall to the media box. I also want to add another DVR dual tuner reciever in the near future. Also since the builder of this house decided to put the outlets on the shortest wall in the living room I have two cables running up the wall across the ceiling and down to the reciever.
This is the equipment that I have so far, not all of it is plugged in as of now:
6x8 switch
3x4 switch (not used yet)
two D575P dStackers (not used yet)
3 directv recievers
1 DVR dual tuner reciever (with one on the way)
