first off i must say i really have enjoyed the discussions. i have had my big dish running for a few days and am already hooked. i love the wild feeds how they just pop up out of nowhere, i am even taping alot of things and even made a log of channels i find, the feed info, freq and even polarity! i am learning more every day. i was wondering though is it possible to get local uhf channels across the country? i used to live in tennessee and there was a local channel that aired alot of the old sitcoms you cant hardly find anymore like diffrent strokes and good times. is it up there somewhere for a big dish to get? if so is it just tuning to find it or do i need something extra to get those small stations? thanks guys. joe

Most local market stations up there now are broadcast in DVB, and require an MPEG receiver. Many years ago you could get some local channels ITC 24 hrs a day. Now unless you find a feed being uplinked for a special event it don't happen very often in analog.
