c-band dish help plez

i check out the disk today it10' not 14
it has a chaprell head

i hooked it up to the ird
and hooked it up all right
when going to pgm will not! 1st time setup wait 2-3 mins

It is on the arc and you are on a Satellite right?

yes i am on a satlite my sat buddie tells me i see a signal from the head
i pluged in all wire to the box then pushed the pgm and waiting to get the 1st time setup
menu 5 mins go by nothing 10 mins go by changed the battries try again
get menu now then pushed a nother botton goes back to snow in screen
trying to reset the arc so the dish will move i have a C-Band Satellite Receiver Decoder NCC600 Nextwave NEW never been opened or used
am i missing some thing here ? the dish looks in great shape the head arm etc:
can't find the org cable having to use new rg6 cable with cat5 but checking at dish befor go any farther i'm very new to all this

I think you're going to have to start by giving us more information to go on. What receiver you're using, the dish, LNB, what you are trying to receive........some pictures would help.
Start with the basics, tell us about your equipment........I'm sure there's enough knowlege available here to help you get started.
It is also very helpful to read as much as you can, your questions may have already been answered.

if you can with the cat 5 cable double it up ( take two wires and combine them ) use the same at each end then see if you can get a reading

is the nextwave ncc600 is that reciver a analog or a digital it does c\ku and videocipher rs i guess from what i'm reading from the book

does not say if analog or digital i see from lynsat most of c-band went digital and ku\ka \s band am i using the wrong reciver ? for c-band to day ?

If it has a videocipher slot in it, it can get the few scrambled channels left, that are available for subscription, but I believe that one is just analog. Besides the fta receivers,
the 4DTV was the only consumer model analog/digital receiver sold in the US, or the '905' Sidecar, which was meant to be connected to your analog receiver, to get the Digicipher 2 digital signals.

the ncc600 is a analog receiver , there are still a few analog channels up full time a few of them are church related. most of the reason people have a analog receiver is for what is termed a wild feeds or sports feed. There are still a few videocipher channels up but they are fading fast ( videocipher are subscription analog channels) there is considerably more up there on the digital side but you would need a DVB type receiver
and there is also a 4dtv type receiver ( some have both videocipher and digicipher ability) both of these formats are for subscription. the DVB type receiver is for free to air type channels.
