im thinking about trying some heat tape or rope and see what that does and how well its going to work

I agree with Cosmo Blatz, we have had 4 major snowfalls so far here in Canada and using a Leaf Blower has worked extremely well on my 12 Footer Mesh. With a lot of snow just blow off the bottom of the Dish, the whole process usually takes no more than 30 seconds & no problem with stuck on snow.
