I was out yesterday looking for a DVI cable to connect my 811 to my tv. I was very surprised to find how over priced they are in all of the chain stores. So I decided to look on Ebay. My God I am getting the same cable without the brand name for at least $50 less.
Well I went and ordered the cable and now I am questioning my purchase. Could this really be the same cable?
here is the listing:

It may not be the same cable, but I got a Philips DVI/DVI cable at Sam's Club last week for $13.00. It works fine from the 811 to my Sony RP.

Congratulation's on making a wise choice. Many on this board (including me) have purchased their DVI cable on Ebay. I think I paid $21 delivered. It is a nice 6' cable and has given me a year of trouble-free service.. This is a digital connection, to pay big $ for say, a Monster brand cable, is foolish. IMHO. Use the $50 you saved and buy some DVD's.

I eBuy'ed mine for my 811 and then it fit my 921 when I got it .

DVI-D. $1.00 + 5.95 S&H. (One of those 3AM ending auctions) :D

I'd give $6.95 any day. I've had a year with trouble free HD video.

I've purchased a lot of computer junk on ebay, but I wouldn't buy anything requiring high reliability there if I could buy it somewhere else. Yes there are many honest vendors there, but there are also a lot of folks selling junk and knock-offs.

HD hook-up & D*

what sat are HD's on????
