I have a fortec star lifetime ultra receiver, Fortec universal lnb, Fortec 30in dish (I think) and a viacast receiver. First off all thanks for the "what can I get with an 18in dish" info! That helped me out to get started; Happy to get any channels for free to tell me I am doing something right. With my Fortec lnb I can seem to only point my dish and get 2 Chinese channels Intelsat Americas 13, G10R? Frustrating but at least I get something to work with. Problem could be trees I will post pics soon. Just ordered a motor Too. Any way I read the viacast post and sill don't fully understand how to program it, Mainly how I get the information to programming a transponder? I would like to start by getting the information to program my viacast with these 2 Chinese channels.

Record number is the channel # (0,1,2,etc)
LNB LO Frequency
LNB Power is polarity
Down Link Frequency is the frequency
Symbol Rate
0/12 mode
DISEqC

I would be very grateful if someone could help me!
My zip code is 53074
By the way this whole Fta thing has got me hunting for old dishes and one old
Bud might disappear :) (It's on the edge of the city and the house was burned down so it sits in the middle of know where)

Yep, thats my first pc. I'm an electronic junke and collect everything. I havent messed around with one of mine in awhile but it's my favorate old-school pc.

to program the Viacast, you need to add some zeros to stuff

To get the chinese channels on IA13, which are at 11720 H 26800 enter it as such

0 (1,2,3,etc)
10750000
18
11720000
26800
off
off

and hit "OK"...make sure the 3 zeroes are on the end of the LO frequency and frequency :)

For the universal LNB, that should be
0
10600000
18V+22k
11720000
26800
off
off

So point the dish using the lifetime ultra then connect up the viacast receiver.

Can you get the two chinese channels with the Viacast?
