We like to use the music channels in our house as background noise. Usually on the kids CD music 976.
HOWEVER, if the receiver is turned OFF while tuned to any music channel, I get a blank VIDEO screen on turning back on. The music can be heard. It is as if the video output from the receiver was disconnected. During this phase all menus or guides are not visable and thus unusable.
IF I then manually tune to any sat channel, ie press 101 or 110, then it will tune to it correctly & video is re-established. The receiver then works normally.
This was the case with L142. I have not been home yet to check with L145.
