I am the proud owner of the 7.5' dish.(Thanks ChuckBoozer)
Naturally I have questions. Lots of them.
The polarotor moves but sometimes it jumps around and won't be still. I turned the trim knob all the way to the right and the probe seemed to move properly when I switched it. I think there is probably scratchiness in the trim knob? When I fiddled with the trim knob the probe got jumpy again.
On the motor there are 6 wires. Two red and white heavier wires that are probably for the power but I don't know how many volts it uses. I am wondering if the polarity gets switched to change the direction of the mover? Als there are smaller orange, brown, and green wires and a small naked wire. Does anybody know what the wires do, or how many volts a 24" Venture motor likes?
EDIT:I found the GI2400 manual linked from here (thanks Iceberg) and everything I need to know about the motor seems to be there.
