Hello all,
I posted this question in the c band forum, but so far no answer. I have a thomson saginaw actuator that i was originally told used a hall effect sensor to count pulses. When i talked with the folks at skyvision today, they told me I had a reed sensor. How can i tell which one i have? The sensor i have has two wires hooked up to ground/pulse on my analog dish mover. In the actuator itself there is a small wheel with four magnets ( i think they are magnets anyways) with a small round sensor with two wires positioned just above the wheel. The sensor looks exactly like part "e" on this page http://skyvision.com/store/system_replacement_parts.html
So now im really confused lol, which kind of sensor do i have?
