.....
Headed to Bristol for my first cup race tomorrow. I've been to a couple of busch races but never a cup race. I will post some pictures on Sunday. Really excited and looking forward to. I have a 4 tv standard directv install in the morning and a 2 tv dish in the afternoon to do before getting ready for the race. Not looking forward to installing tomorrow, but let's go racing boys!!!!!!

Had an incredibly good time last night. I am going again next year, no question about it.
I was pretty neutral about the 18, I did not like or dislike until he pulled that cheap shot on the 99. I did not see anything wrong with the way the 99 passed the 18, anybody else? I don't remember which race it was, but it was quite a few ago. The 18 pretty much wrecked the 88 in the last couple laps and the 88 never retaliated after the fact. The 18 apparently has a short memory.
I replayed a couple of the interviews on dvr this morning to catch some of the things I missed. One thing I did not hear on ESPN was the incredible amount of booing the 18 received while whining about nothing during his interview. That was pretty funny actually.
On my way out the of stadium to parking lot, I noticed a steady stream of helicopters going in and out of the drag way area. I guess that is where all the VIP'S get in and out for this race. Pretty incredible just how big these kinds of events are and the amounts of money involved.
I thought I would share a couple pictures from my view in the grand stands.

That's way passes happen sometimes at Bristol. If the roles had been reversed, the 18 would have done the same. At least he didn't wreck him like Earnhardt Sr did to Terry Labonte many years ago at this race. That was a lot of booing. More than Kyle gets.:)

Cheap shot? Nobody got hurt and it didn't happen on pit lane so it didn't put any crew in danger. Just over active emotions. Besides, Edwards paid him right back. We'll see who is really hurt when NASCAR hands out the punishment on Tuesday.

Sounds cool, wish I could have been with you. Did you have any trouble getting tickets? A friend of mine went to the night race last year and he ordered the tickets almost a year in advance.

I was throwing stuff at my TV when SR. did that. Terry was my favorite driver and he clearly had the best car. About 8 laps before that Waltrip wrecked Terry too. Seemed like nobody wanted him to win that race. I remember another one there where he won and wrecked across the finish line and pulled into the victory lane with smoke plumming out of the car and water coming out the bottom.

Been going to bristol for years! Season ticket holder. Lot of wrecks, lot's of emotions, and tons of fun. This years race was pretty boreing compared to years past. I'm glad Carl spun Rowdy. About time someone had the guts to do it.
