well, jimbo, i believe we agree on something. i would love to see gradkowski follow in the footsteps of other MAC quarterbacks who have done well in the NFL. i know gruden loves qb's and likes stockpiling them. but i was actually hoping they would draft a qb with the fourth pick.

garcia should be a solid backup. he would probably make a better starter on this team than chris simms!

I am not sold on Cutler, but I DID NOT like Jake. I never liked Jake. I like Brian Griese more than Jake. Did I say I didn't like Jake?

But ultimately my problem with the Broncos is that they either come on Sunday ready to play, in which case they are a potent force to be dealt with, or they just don't come to play. They are either HOT or they are not there. Its terribly frustrating.

Now you see, my problem was their tendency to run up the score in the 1st half, and then coast thru the 2nd half. A very frustrating trend. By the time the team realized "oh sh*t...we need to get our game-faces back on", it was too late, and it was left up to the defense to try to hold the opposing team.

And that's where Jake would come in with his cape on and try to save the day. We all know he has this tendency to try too damn hard and occasionally go color-blind by throwing that oh-so-costly INT. Plenty of remote controls has been lost watching that particular scene unfold throughout the past few seasons.

Oh yeah. That too. EVEN when the Broncos show up to play in the first half, they come back after half-time a totally different team. It kills me.

This has been the pattern pretty much since Elway left. I don't know how many times I have seen that. This year I had a hard time even watching a whole Broncos game. It was too dang stressful.

I know what we need - bring back Brister
