NBC was first in ratings with a 2.7 rating/8 share in the key demo and second in total viewers with an average of 9.8 million. “The Voice” at 8 p.m. earned a 3.3/10 — a high on the night — and 11.9 million viewers. At 10, “The Night Shift” rose to a 1.6/5 and 5.8 million viewers.

ABC and CBS tied for second in ratings, both with a 1.8/6. ABC was first in viewers with 11.9 million; CBS was third with 8.8 million.

For ABC, “Dancing With the Stars” at 8 received a 2.0/6 — knotted with last week’s fast national number and 95 percent of the final tally — and primetime-best 13.7 million viewers. “Castle” at 10 posted a 1.4/4 and 8.2 million viewers.

For CBS, “2 Broke Girls” at 8 had a 1.9/7 and 7.3 million viewers. “Mike & Molly” at 8:30 got a 1.8/6 and 7.8 million viewers. “Scorpion” at 9 posted a 2.0/6 and 9.6 million viewers. “NCIS: Los Angeles” at 10 received a 1.6/5 and 9.3 million viewers.

Big Brother was the top show Thursday night, rising 5% from last week to a 2.0 rating among adults 18-49, according to Nielsen overnight numbers. Under the Dome followed with a 1.0, even with last week. CBS led broadcasters with a 1.4 rating/6 share.

NBC finished in second with a 0.9/4. Food Fighters fell 13% to a 0.7 and Dateline Mystery matched last week’s 1.0.

ABC followed up in third with a 0.7/3. Astronaut Wives Club jumped 33% to a 0.8, while Mistresses remained even with a 0.7. Rookie Blue fell 13% to a 0.7.

The new Ryan Murphy Fox series “Scream Queens” got off to a lackluster start on Tuesday night, attracting only 4 million viewers and a 1.7 rating/5 share in the advertiser coveted 18-49 demographic, according to preliminary numbers.Given that “Minority Report,” another new Fox offering, also opened to disappointing numbers on Monday, the “Scream Queens” debut is troubling for the network, especially given the massive marketing campaign they mobilized behind it.On a positive note, however, “Scream Queens” lit up social media during its debut, with over 400,000 tweets being sent about the program during its two hour premiere from 8pm-10pm. Next week, the show will move to its normal 9pm time slot.Other new programs fared far better in the ratings. The CBS adaptation of “Limitless” enjoyed a solid debut with 9.8 million viewers and a 1.8 rating/6 share in its 10pm time slot. The former show nabbed a 2.4/8 in the demo and 17.7 million viewers, making it the number one show of the night in total viewers. “New Orleans” got a 1.7/5 in the demo and 12.5 million viewers, followed by “Limitless” at 10pm.ABC was third in ratings with 1.8/6 and in total viewers with 8.8 million. Following the premiere of “The Muppets” at 8pm, the season premiere of “Fresh Off the Boat” at 8:30pm got a 1.9/7 and 6 million viewers. A special two hour episode of “Dancing With the Stars” followed at 9pm, which got a 1.5/5 and 9.5 million viewers.Fox came in fourth in ratings with 1.6/5 and in total viewers with 4 million, airing only “Scream Queens” from 8-10pm.Univision came in fifth in ratings with 0.6/2 and in total viewers with 1.6 million.The CW, airing only reruns, tied for sixth place with Univision in the ratings with the English-language network scored a 0.5/2 while the Spanish-language network got a 0.5/1. However, CW was ahead in total viewers, nabbing 1.3 million versus Univision’s 1 million.
