Like Cal Ripken Jr., How many times did he go out and play when he should not have been out there and actually hurt his teams chances of winning ?
Ripken never broke Gehrig's streak.
Anyway, glad to see Favre gone. Hopefully, they will put him on IR and he will quietly (for once) go away.
Ramy said:HUH? He did so break his streak and did it by playing many many more innings than Gehrig did. Gehrig would go out and play an inning just to keep the streak alive. Ripken never did that.
HUH? He did so break his streak ...
Also tack on the 500+ additional games.
IMHO Jim Marshall streak is more than Brett's. Just factor injury treatment and Marshall hit someone every down. Favre could hand off and avoid hits 20-30 plays a game.
Ripken's streak ended August 12, 1994 due to Ripken's greed.
