Pasadena, Calif. -- Taking full advantage of the emerging video-broadband space, pop-culture channel Bravo will roll out a suite of branded broadband channels in 2006 that executives said will offer exclusive, original fare.
Along with fledgling basic network Trio -- which Bravo parent NBC Universal announced last month would move exclusively to the Internet -- Bravo will launch a broadband "channel" dedicated to popular Trio series Brilliant But Cancelled, according to Bravo president Lauren Zalaznick.
The ad-supported Triotv.com will feature exclusive original and acquired content, as well as episodes from such signature Trio series as Parking Lot and Face Time with Kurt Andersen.
Brilliantbutcancelled.com will feature canceled and never-before-seen series and pilots such as NBC comedy series The Jake Effect, starring Jason Bateman as a high-end lawyer who leaves his job to become a school teacher.
BravoTV.com (www.bravotv.com), the overall hub for the network's broadband channels, will feature exclusive original content from original network shows like Project Runway and Top Chef. The site will also feature exclusive interviews, pop-culture blogs and interactive elements.
Other broadband channels will be announced at a later date.
"Broadband gives Bravo the opportunity to move beyond the constraints of a linear analog service and deliver content 24 hours a day to our devoted viewer base in the areas they are most passionate about," Zalaznick said in a prepared statement.
