Brand New 211K P.O.S.!!

So. Cal.
I am really p.o'd right now. I just got a new 211K from a private party and it is a pile of junk. First off, the front power on button is unresponsive. I got the thing to boot up finally jut by unplugging it and replugging it. I got it to lacate all of the birds and do a software update and I got it activated,...barely,..the screen kept going blank and I had to reboot it over and over and over....

It will not respond to the remote as far as power on but the remote does work otherwise. I had it hooked up to the TV via component cabling. The coax/DTV would not output to the set.
WHat is the deal with this thing?
Will dish warranty this even though I bought it third-party?

I am really disappointed right now.
All help is greatly appreciated!!

You are a breath of fresh air, Claude.! I was hoping they would. This was a brand new unopened unit that I bought from a private party and the CAID number would in fact show that it had never been activated so I feel a little better.
I'll call them in the A.M.
