BMX PIG is a product of RushHDTV, an extreme sports channel for the Voom Network, a satellite-based network that broadcasts only High Definition television shows. This made the whole contest a major TV production, including green screens, fill-lights to illuminate people’s faces, and "Matrix Shots" where each rider had to stand on a designated spot that was pre-measured to be an equal distance between several cameras. Being HDTV, this also made the scene very important to the production crew; a single orange cone or person in the background would ruin a shot and they were very particular about keeping all spectators out of sight (see: the vert ramp, over 100 feet away from the course). BMX PIG will air on RushHD, so you’ll have to subscribe in order to see it. Eventually, I believe, the show will end up on DVD format, as well as on Fuel channel.
