PORTLAND BLAZER GAMES ARE NOT ON DIRECTV, DISH,& CHARTER. WHY? CSNNW (COMCAST SPORTS NET NW) HAVE THE RIGHTS TO BROADCAST THE BLAZER HOME GAMES. DIRECTV,DISH & CHARTER HAVE CHOSEN NOT TO PAY THE PRICE PLUS THE OTHER DEMANDS OF CSNNW.
NOW THR REAL PROBLEM.
CSNNW OBTAINED THE RIGHTS FOR THE WHOLE STATE OF OREGON FROM BLAZERS/NBA. THEY BELIEVE THEY CONTROL ALL THE VIEWING RIGHTS OF OREGON RESIDENCE. ALTHOUGH THEY HAVE NO FINANCIAL INTERESTS IN GAMES BEING PLAYED IN FLORIDA, TEXAS, NY, ETC. THEY THINK THEY CAN USE US TO "DEMAND" OUR PROVIDERS COMPLY WITH THEIR DEMANDS. I DON'T KNOW HOW THEY CAN PREVENT US FROM WATCHING AWAY GAMES. THEIR MAY BE FCC REGULATIONS TO LOOK INTO, BUT IT MAY BE BETTER TO CONTACT ADVERTISERS BOTH IN OREGON AND IN THOSE GAMES WE ARE NOT SEEING AND THOSE ADVERTISERS MESSAGES ARE NOT GETTING INTO OREGON. IT APPEARS THE ONLY WAY TO REACH THEM IS IN "MONEY". I GUESS FORGET THE MORAL ISSUE, OUR WORLD IS TO FAR GONE FOR THAT. I WILL BE CONTACTING THE ATTORNEY GENERAL OFFICE IN OREGON AND ANY ADVERTISERS I CAN. ANY SUGGESTIONS OR HELP WILL BE APPRECIATED.

I don't believe you can do anything about this. The league, teams, and networks decide what teams tv market your going to be in. Portland even has low powered translators in other parts of oregon. Clearly much of Oregon is part of Portlands tv territory when it comes to basketball games. The only thing you can keep doing is letting your provider know that you would like to see them carry csn nw and have your friends do the same. Also check the following thread out for more info on this problem. The thread is atleast 14 pages long. Comcast Sports Northwest - DBSTalk.Com

That really sucks, man. I wouldn't bother with the AG, though...they only deal with state law. I'd suggest you just speak with your wallet.

Sports things I don't understand

LeBron would consider playing in Europe for about $50 million per season!
