Did you know....how phone companies can tell if your Blackberry was dropped in water thus automatically voiding the waranty?

Cheers, K

? ? ?

Most phones have a water sensor strip in the battery compartment.
It's normally white, and turns pink and stays pink if it gets wet.

My iPhone has at least three:
- one in the charging port you can see in the bottom of the phone
- one down the earphone hole on the top
- one on a screw holding the board in place (only visible on disassembly)

So what's so odd the Blackberry would have a moisture sensor?

This just goes to show you how much I know about phones (corporate blackberry which am forced to carry).
I was told about the water strip this AM and thought it was pretty cool.

Guess am late to the party!

Cheers, K

:up

I knew about the strip. Most I have seen are red and white striped and I have never seen one after it got wet.
