Black Outs

about 2-3 times a hour I get 1-2 second blackouts from my

Receiver makes & models?

Dish type?

Any switches, diplexers, etc in the run?

Length of RG6 runs from dish to receivers?

Was it doing this when your installer was there?

Does this happen on all channels or some? List of chnls to see if others have it too.

Try to give the best details you can.

Are you using a Y-Pb-Pr (component) cable, a HDMI cable or a HDMI-DVI cable?

I get this too - about 1 second at a time. All channels, times of day, and weather. Never happens with OTA broadcasts. Samsung 360, Phase III dish. It's never been much of a worry for me to post a thread about it, though. Anybody else?

even on regular ESPN........I've never seen anything blacked out before.

Nothing like that here with my 2 LG built HD boxes or 2 hughes SD boxes.

it seems that i only get black outs (3-4 an hour for 1-2 seconds) when i use the HDMI cable,
the cable i use is silver not gold plated, should i go gold
or could it be the box or tv setting? help

I have that happen a lot... it's usually happens when a plane flys over my house due to being close to an airport. It's rather annoying.

D is replacing the box it seems that some of the H10 boxes
have a bad HDMI

I just fired up my system today and I too have experianced the 1-2 second black screen. I have even seen it on over the air HD with mine. I have the H10. So someone is saying that if I call that they may replace the box? I got mine through ValueElectronics.

all i know is that they dont know what the problem is,
but if you switch to the rca plugs and dont get black outs then its the hdmi,
diriect is replacing my box

I just switch from Voom also and I was just going to make a thread about this. I got the monster cables 400 HDMI to DVI 24k gold plated and it does the same thing as yours. DTV needs to do something about this!!!

I get that from time to time with the HR10-250. I have it hooked up via HDMI/DVI.

No... that can't be. Why are so many people having this problem? It has to be the H10, even the CSR said it was a software problem not hardware.

don't know because i don't have these new low end boxes, but maybe his new box has an updated software?
