I've noticed on some of the hd movie channels that the black levels will flicker two levels higher if an off screen light source gets moved closer to the screen. Its not just that side of the screen but most of the screen on what I would best describe as relating to depth of like a topo map overlay. Its not a constant but something that I have noticed three times since my install on the 19th.

This is on my H21 using the stock hdmi cable on a 32 inch vizio lcd, this never showed up on the tv when I had charter hd using componants and never using an hdmi connection to my computer.

Once again as with some of the other issues, I looked for this on 3 different displays I have on numerous chnls without ever seeing it. Can you give some details about the actual chnls and what is playing at the time? Also what make & mdel display?

Vizio VX32L HDTV104,

MaxHD 512, 8pm EST, The Break-Up, last 15 minutes of the movie where Vince Vaughns character is talking to Anistons character in the condo and he's trying to get her back, he's standing in the throughway from the dining room to the living room with his back to the dining room table, the light source is to his left and behind him and when he shifts his weight from left to right the light source seems to hit his hair and reflects back towards the camera, when this happens I saw the mentioned flicker twice.

I will ss if I can catch the next showing and see it. Thanks for the details. And hell, I wanted to watch this anyway.

It's actually not a bad movie for the guys to watch and I got into it, the wife didnt like the ending but I did because of the positive note and the potential for better things it showed.

Is the hdmi cable that directv includes with its receivers good or would it be a better idea to get something else?
