BioShock - XBox 360/PC - You must download the demo

My fiance and I got the demo download from XBL. I've not had the chance to play it yet myself, but he's played it two or three times by now I'm sure. I for one get "seasick" when I play FPS's, but I see myself in the checkout line in walmart with a copy of Bioshock and a bottle of Dramamine.

Downloaded the demo and I have to say I am not too impressed with the game. The visuals are great, but the game-play is not that great... I may still go out an buy the game just because I need something new to play with...

I'm still on the first level but it is kind of cool.... It's like the Dharma initiative set up an underground Art Deco city that then gets overrun by Resident Evil zombies. Nothing cooler than zapping someone with electricity to stun them (while they twitch standing up) and then clock 'em with a wrench to drop them.....

Definitely creepy in parts and not for tweeners....

Yes, that's it. Be aware it is a hard M rated game though.

All of the online game sites should have their embargo on reviews lifted today or tomorrow.

I wish the 360 games had a mechanism that could cut out the vulgarity & levels of blood. This is a really cool game, neat concept..but it is too M for my younger kids to play.

Forget the language and blood..... This game gets in your head.... REAL cool game if you like old school horror movies (not the torture porn they do nowadays)....

And instead of the cheesy Doom3 "pop out of the hidden closet" tricks, you get an environment that oozes malevolance (although watching the Big Daddies guard and protect the "little girls" is oddly touching.... It's disturbing to have to kill them first before you "rescue" the girls (assuming you don't go all full on dark side and harvest them for the psychic energy they are infused with).

Just got past a REAL gripping scene with a submarine where you are supposed to help your radio guide escape with him and his family. Wow. Haven't had a game hit me emotionally like this is years....

damn it, I should bring my 360 to UK, they have HD tvs of the Hotel Rooms, with HDMI ports... AT least last night I stayed at the Hotel, I was too tired to go out. This game is great, I only got to play it for several hours, so as soon as I return from London on Saturday I expect to play it for many hours, til the NFL starts the new season,,,,,
