Heres my issue I am with Dish absolute package right now and would like to move up to a better package,like AT100 with HD or even AT 200 with HD,my only problem is myself and Family really watch alot of The BIO channel but in order to get this channel when you add a Turbo package that incudes some SD channels you have to subscribe to AT250,which has alot of channels we wouldnt watch other than BIo and its also a cost issue.( we have a budget of 65.00 a month for entertainment).Anyone know if Dish can or will ever offer focexample channels in the at 200 OR 250 ALA cARTE.aT This point Dish has become about as expensive as Cable,if we have to subscribe to AT 250 with HD and Locals(with no platinium HD)we are talking close to 80.00 a month,my Local Cable ( comcast is offering a better package with ON Demand for 71.99 and you dont have to pay a Home protection fee either)Dish needs to offer all their HD channels available when you subscribe to dish 100 above,especially when you pay 10 dollars for having HD access.To sum this up Dishnetwork needs to seriously repackage their Packages to make more sense,if you subscribe to a AT package and also pay extra for HD all available HD they carry should be included or at least allow for channels not included to be added ala carte.

If you are looking for a la cart then look else where dish only does it on a few channels.
My local Cable company has 38 (non premium regular HD channels for 5.00 more a month with any digital package)
how many tv's will you have that will have digital service with cable? also, as for your original question about when dish will allow a la carte programming you might be asking the wrong company. perhaps you should ask AETN, the owners of biography network, when they will allow satellite/cable companies to sell their channels a la carte.
