Hello. i am having a problem figuring out how to make my components all work together. I just got a 37" x 31" eliptical dish with 6 lnbs and all kinds of brackets to mount the lnbs wherever i need to. Now that I have this huge dish going up on my new house, I need to figure out how to make it work with my system. I have 5 TV’s. each one has a vs ultra and a dish sub. that way I can watch either one simply by using video 1 or 2 on the TV’s. I have 2 cables running from where the switches go, to each TV. I have 4lnbs on the dish 82, 91, 110 and 119. I can run as many cables from the dish as necessary. I need to figure out how I can get away without putting up another dish for the subs. I thought of a few possibilities.

1- Get a huge switch to handle everything. 8 in and 10 out. but I have not seen any switches that will make this all work with no bugs.

2- Somehow split the cables coming from 110 and 119 so I can feed an emp 9x8 for the ultras, and feed some other switches for the subs. I don’t know how this would be possible but maybe you do.

3- I don’t even know if they exist but get some kind of single lnbs with 4
outputs for 110 and 119. 2 horizontal and 2 vertical. that way I can bring 2 cables from each to an emp 9x8 for the fta and bring the other 2 from each lnb to some other switches for the subs.

I am open to ideas of how to make this all work. I guess the bottom line is I only want one dish, I don’t care how many lnbs are on it. I don’t care how many cables I need to run to my switches, I don’t care how many switches I need, I need to have 5 fta receivers on 82, 91, 110 and 119, I need to have 5 subs on 110 and 119, I need to be able to have all 10 receivers on and working at the same time.

If you have any ideas of how to do this please let me know. thanks

are you guys kidding me. i do not hack anything. i pay an arm and a leg just like everyone else does. i realy need some help. please if you have the knowledge please share.

thanks

I have an answer but I'm not certain you are a paying sub to dish. Post the first 8 of your account number. It's a 16 digit number and I wouldn't ever be able to guess the remainder. You can PM me the 8 numbers if you want.

Dpp44?

You might be able to do it with cascaded DPP44 switches. It won't be cheap though. You'll need to use DP or DPP LNBs I believe. I don't think legacy will work with the DPP44. I'm not sure what your Dish receivers are going to think when they see the Bell signal from 82 and 91 though.

The whole thing sounds sort of shady to me. What are the FTA boxes for?

Regards, Eric

ok i dont understand. I HAVE NOT ASKED ANY QUESTIONS RELATED TO HACKING ANYTHING. i just need some help setting up my subs. if you can help me, please do, otherwise please keep these "shady or hacker" comments to yourself. thank you

Maybe you didn't mean what you said in your original post. You clearly stated that you wanted to have fta boxes looking at 82,91, 110 and 119. There is no fta programming on any of those birds and the supposition is that anyone pointing an fta box at them is using (illegally) hacked software to avoid paying for programming like the rest of us. I will happily keep the rest of my comments to my self as you suggest. Have a nice day.

Eric

Split the 119 and 110. You will need a splitter rated to 2300 Mhz that has power passing on one port. You will need two for each LNB. Make sure that both legs of each splitter going into the ports on the switches that have the same voltage level output.

It will work but its HARD. I saw a picture of a customer that had like 3 huge dishes, one facing all the way up was for fta and the other two i dunno.. you can do it but its hard.

What are my options?

119 signal intermittent
