Folks,

My new BEV system was activated today. There seems to be a problem though.

I subscribed to Basic ($25) + Sports 1 ($5) + HD ($10). With this I was expecting to get TSN HD (Channel 850) and Rogers Sportsnet HD (Channel 851).

Here is whats happening:

TSN HD (850) appears in the guide in red and says "subscription channel has not been purchased"

Rogers (851) does not appear in the guide at all.

I am getting all of the other HD channels, such as WGN-HD, etc. and I am also getting TSN and Rogers (non-HD versions)

Broker says we need to wait 24 hours before troubleshooting.

Has this happened to any one?

I have unplugged the receiver, reset, etc. no help.

thanks for any help

Can anybody in the US receive Rogers Sportsnet HD (Channel 851) in the US?

I was looking in lyngsat and it appears that channel is on transponder 9 on Nimiq2. I got not signal strength on that transponder (0%). Could this explain why the channel is not in the guide? I got over 70% on other transponders so I would not think there is an dish aiming issue.

Nimiq2 has full coveage over North America. BEV shuffle channels around different transponders on that sat quite often, so Lyngsat is almost never correct. That tp might have worked last week, but not today. If your account is setup ok, you shouldn't have problems with HD channels.

Thanks beeb. With the TP info you provided, then I believe it must be an activation issue. Hope the broker can handle it.

So when you are using a broker, you can't call BEV directly? Is there a way to figure out the account number or something?

hd sports chanels

I had the same problem when I setup my bev 6120, basic + sports+ hd.

The problem was with activation, called broker who call bev, the chanels
were working within an hour.

Ordering from Canadian dealer issue ?

Any idea if this would work for a US guy who wants Bev
