Is there anything bigger then a SW 64 Switch for BEV/DISH?

I know you can get a
SW 21 switch
SW 44 switch(2versions)
SW 64 switch

But is there anything bigger? If so how much?"

TOM :)

sure there is...switch to DishPro :)

Then you can cascade DP34 switches for up to 12 receivers

1 line from each satellite orbital slot (since this is in the Canadian forum it would be one line from 82 & 1 line from 91) to the DP34 and up to 4 recievers off of it...need more? Hook up another one right to the existing DP34 :)

Tom doesn't have ExpressVu anymore :)
(he's "dancing with the devil" as he puts it)) AKA Rogers cable

He was probably just asking...but since you decide to ask pretty much any of the newer boxes will work. (made in the last 4 years or so)
Pretty much everything BUT the 2700 & 6000 will work.

I'll give you full list in case if you missed one or two models :) and you could point again:

Thats Right :hatsoff:

Couldn't afford BEV,Rogers,SC and dish(have one receiver 3200)
. When your paying for two kids University it gets very expansive.

So sold of alkl my BEV receivers

9200 for $150 only 6 months old
6100 for $100 about a year old
3100(3) $50 each
4100(less then a year old) for $50
4500,3100(clightly damaged) & 2700 for $25

Then bought the 3200(dish) and had the sat man reposion the two BEV dishes(24") and I still used my SW 44 switch with Dish

Sold my SC receivers(2) for $50

Then upgraded to the biggest package with Rogers(which actually got more channels-english and got all the french channels), end pay a little more but in return got more channels for less then I was pay for both SC & BEV.

As for DANC'N with the :dev aka TED ROGERS that goes way back to issues I had with Rogers. But I learned to for give and let it be in the past.

Do I regret leaving BEV & SC? Yes & No.

No as for the rain fade issue(and yes I know I still get it with Dish, but I can live with that as thats more or l;ess the onlky way I can get SCI-FI channel)

Yes I miss the radio stations on BEV & SC and the Galaxie channels(full version) and the interactive features of BEV receivers.

As for HD, yes I have it via Rogers(didn't both to get it via Dish)its ok but its not as important to me as getting as many channels I can get and seeing my shows be it in HD or SD.

Will I ever go back to BEV or SC? Who's to say, never say never because I said that about Rogers and I went back and got everything thru themm
Home Phone
Internet
Cable
Celluar.

Oh and of coarse I got the largest package Dish offers0minus PPV Sports packages, ethnics, interactive games and pay features)ITS THE LAW FOR ME :exclamati :music:

TOM :)

I was basicaly wondering how many dishes you could hook up to one receiver. I know Dish has many sats and I know most are for something called SPOT BEAMING?. living in Ottawa I know I would have access to 61,110,119,121 not sure if I can get any further out west of that.

So in my case I wanted to know what type of Switch I would need to get the 4 sat I mrentioned. Presently only have 110 & 119

Hey Busman - why don't you open up your wallet and buy a new keyboard? - specifically a model that has a "Caps Lock" button included. ;)

I'll give you full list in case if you missed one or two models :) and you could point again:

....snip....
PID: 08B1h, ID: V4TC, FW: AAC1, Model: DP962 aka ViP622

so lets see...you ask me what models it would work with and I responded with a pretty good answer. Then you decide to be a dink and post the list WHEN YOU ALREADY HAD THE DAMN ANSWER.

Why bother asking the frickin question then? Just to be a dink and show "oh looky...I can get better info than you"?

Technically you can do 5 satellite slots at once with a DPP44 and a DP21 on one of the outputs.

The DPP44 would allow 4 satellite slots (110, 119, 121 and say 61.5) and allow 4 receiver outputs. On the output you could put a DP21 and add a 5th.

But from the sounds of it, all Int'l is going to 118.7 so most people would only need a 4 sat solution if they have Int'l and HD (110,119,118.7 and either 129 or 61.5)

Upgrade to DP Plus lnb! save yourself sometime.

There's a new triple DP Plus lnbf on the market now as we speak. Supports both dishpro & DP Plus receivers. You can receive 4 satellites with this triple lnb provided you have an extra DP dual lnb on a 18" dish. Doesn't need a DPP 44 switch either, it's already built-in. Enjoy watching tv on 3 IRDs with the 3 outputs on this dish 1000.2 DPP lnbf

YUP known as the BUSMAN :) Brcause I'm bus fanatic.

Those on the KU SatT Forum know my obession of buses.

Hell when you belong to over 50 Yahoo Bus groups and have close to $10.000 worth bus Die-cast bus collectables,HO scale and tones and tones of bus stuff Bus schedules dating back to the 1980, and other bus stuff yeah I guess you can call me the BUSMAN :)

As the dish issue pretty happy with the set up. Still get rain fade but hey it worth just to get all the US Channels.

The thing is living in Canada I'm not sure if
1) you can buy those here
2) if you buy it off one the US sites will they ship to Canada?
