I've been running the output of my FTA receiver into the back panel inputs of my 6100 receiver for convenience but noticed today, after leaving it on the back inputs overnight that when I switched to a regular channel it had to re-authorise before it would come on. It kept flashing something like "your reciever does not have authorization to view this channel". I went and checked my other reciever in the bedroom and it was fine. When I came back out it was working.........you'd think that with it powered up it would retain that info but it didn't. It even had to reload the guide. I'm wondering if I left it on the rear inputs for too long if I'd have to phone in and get it re-hit, any ideas?

the 6100 is like the Dish 811 and when you use the rear inputs, you are cutting the signal from the satellite off (on my 811 when I pick the inputs, the OTA light goes on)

Just do a hard reboot (unplug for 30 seconds and plug back in) and that shuld do the trick. Make sure you're on a satellite channel first :)

Right, I'll do that.....or stop using those inputs. I just find it a very convenient way to do it, no switching inputs on the tv or stereo receiver. It'd be nice if it could keep the signal running from the satellite as well to eliminate that. Oh well, it's two more inputs that I didn't have before......and a decent OTA tuner as well, I was suprised at how slick it was.
