I've read through posts and searched online and can't seem to find a definitive answer, so any help is greatly appreciated.

I have an 18" dish on the roof of my cottage with a single LNB that locks on to the old Nimiq Satellite without and problems. However I would like to access all of the programming and have purchased a SW21 switch, and LNB. However, before going forward I wanted to know if I need to upgrade the entire dish to 20" with the skew plate/pan or whether a simple Y bracked to support the second LNB will be sufficient. It's running down to a brand new 3100 receiver.

Should I upgrade to the new 20" with skew or will already installed 18" work with the addition of the Y, LNB and SW21?

Thank you for your time and assistance.

You will need to upgrade the dish to the 20, since the original 18 does not skew.

Also, if you put the Y on the arm of the 18”, the distance is too far away and you’ll get crap for results :D

3100 signal problems

6100 or 6120?
