I've done a lot of reading about satellite installers' frustration with customers that want custom work for free, and customers that are unhappy with the results of free installs.
I'm perfectly willing to pay extra for an install to be done as cleanly as possible. It seems like the best solution is to have a installer perform a pre-install survey, so that I could get some electrical work done, roof penetration or conduit run. Then the installer would come back to do the full installation.
I have a feeling that my southward-facing home with trees flanking the property is going to require a roof mount, which sounds like it has challenges for grounding. I only have 1 (HD)TV so that part of the install should be simple.
Any advice how I should approach a retailer/installer to get the best result? Any advice on preferred retailers/installers in my area?
