I have a 1 meter dish with a HH100 motor. I get a lot of movement from the wind, it blows pretty stiff through here. Is there another motor that does not allow as much movement?

It's pretty normal for motors to have some slop in them, or backlash. Of course, yours COULD be excessive, who can say. Sadoun has several motors , the DG380 and DG280 series that have backlash adjustments, so that you can manually optimize it. Whether this would cure your issue is anyone's guess. If you've got the bucks, I suppose it's worth a try. The STAB HH100, though, is regarded as a reputable motor, but s*** happens, to even the best.
I know about winds, I'm at the Lake Michigan shore and we frequently get 40-60 mph breezes.
:)

Yea, I live at the end of a 30 acre field, and 40 to 60 mph gusts are not unusual at all. Do you have a motorized dish? what motor do you use? I am very happy with the function of the motor, but, when it is windy, I just have to shut off the tv. Does the 1 meter dish without a motor still have a problem with movement in the wind?
I would like to upgrade to a big mesh dish, but that probable won't happen for a while.

I have two motorized dishes up right now, and I don't see the problems you're having. Sometimes, the wind will move my dish on the pole, so I have to "readjust" my USALS settings until I can get out there, but I never lose TV because of wind, just pixelates for a second then back again. Check out the DG380 at Sadoun's site at the top of the forum. That's what I'm using on my 1.2m dish. Wonder If you'd be happier with a smaller dish, a 90cm , figuring it's a more wind friendly size. You'll end up with multiple motorized dishes, like me . LOL
