Best free DNLA server for a Mac?

I've been trading emails with TVMOBiLi customer service. He said if I'll forward port 22 from my router to my Mac and give him my login info then he'll login remotely and take a look. Is this recommended? I'm really not sure what he means by forward port 22.

Well I've been doing some more digging and I saw in another thread that someone has been successfully using the PS3 media server. So I downloaded it and success!! Well mostly anyways. The hopper sees the server and I can see all my photos and also my iTunes media. One problem I've discovered is that I can only play certain music from my iTunes music. I've noticed the music I can play is in MPEG-1 layer 3 format. And the music that won't play is AAC audio files (which is most of my music). I assume I have to convert those files to MPEG? Will that create other problems for me in any other applications? What's the best method for doing this?

Port 22 (TCP) is the Secure SHell (SSH) port. It allows someone to log in to a shell and muck about on your computer using a command line interface.

My quest to find a DLNA server to serve all my HD MKV files continues...

I tried Plex, EyeConnect, TVmobili, PS3 Media Server and a few others.

I grabbed the newed PS3 Media server last night and had SUCCESS in playing one of my HD MKV files (in full HD) on my Hopper. It played FLAWLESSLY with no stuttering or buffering. I was SO happy!

Then I stopped playback and tried playing it again and it wouldn't play...

I am guessing the issue is that the Hopper does not have a supported profile by PS3 Media Server and if it did then things would work perfectly all the time.

I am so close to having what I want yet so far away!

Anyone else have any luck?
