Best connection for a RCA D52W23

It deals with whats going to give me the best looking picture. Right now its HDMI (H20 D*) to the TV's DVI. Picture is ok but I have seen best pq at CC, BB than on my set at home. The set has been ISF Cal, but still I think the picture should be better. The question is would component cable work better? I have read some post that say that component cables work better for these CRT base TV. Would like input and what others have experienced.
 
as a general rule of thumb:
for digital sets connect digitally
For analog sets (crt HD sets are analog) use analog connections.
