Bell TV Inquiry

Hi,

Does anyone know where I can find transponder info for the Bell TV satellites?! I am trying to help LyngSat.com update their Bell TV listings but cannot find the required info for each transponder that they need in order to upload any new listings. Specifically I am looking for the following info for each transponder:

Satellite Name
Frequency
Polarization
Transmission Standard
SR
FEC
SID
VPID & APID
Encyption system

The Bell uplink site does not list complete information like the Shaw Direct uplink site does and they do not like conversing with the public- I tried contacting them but never received a reply. Their listings do not list the Symbol Rate, FEC and whether a transponder is MPEG-2 or MPEG-4. I have heard that you can obtain this information by doing a scan with a FTA receiver, is that correct?! I am currently a Bell Sat subscriber, is there any way I could find this information myself, perhaps some hidden diagnostic screen in the receiver that might list these details?!

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

Thanks for the reply but I think you misunderstood my message.

I know Lyngsat has the info because I helped them out with updating it. Bell has added several new transponders that I have no info on, that is what I am looking for- the information on these new transponders.

Ahh gotcha!

You can hook up a bell LNB to a FTA receiver that can do a blind scan and find these new transponders that way, it will give you all the info you need. If anyone can do a scan of the transponders and post a Transponder map here it would be appreciated. :D

Yes, that would be greatly appreciated as I unfortunately do not have a FTA receiver to do the scan myself.

Try this site it may have the info your looking for.

Its installer/ Bell SDRU site.

Thanks but I already mentioned in my first post that this site does not have complete information. If you noticed in the second paragraph it says 'The Bell uplink site', the site you posted the link for is the one I was referring to.

Oh well, it appears as though there is no one here who can help me out, that doesn't surprise me since the focus here is on American satellite providers but I thought I would give it a shot since you have a Canadian Satellite Services forum. Perhaps, I should look into befriending a Bell installer?! :D

I´m not sure if maybe you can get some feedback on digitalhome.ca,
Even though We have a number of forum members here with subs to Bell and Shaw (I myself with Shaw), I can´t think of another resource than the above mentioned lyngsat to provide that technical info.
