ok here are a three before shots ( of the bracket mounted upside down and the motor shaft reversed). worked reasonable well picked up 14 satellites after some minor tweeking. Wasn't able to use USALS with this mount and it threw all mounting figures out the window ( motor elevation & dish elevation). it fell short on the ends of the arc don't know if it was low or high on the arc ends.

now the last three shots are after reversing the motor bracket and with a new dish mount. both have their susposed elevations set but was only able to play with it a hour before having to shut the project down to resume another day.
wasn't able to gain a signal

i will post a few more comments in a bit
thanks

well it was a accident that i got it that way lol , but after changing it to the correct way the angle isn't lining up right so i havent hit the sats yet . And more bad news when i set up the first bracket it rested perfectly on the motor shaft ( taking most of the weight from the dish) but with it set up normally i had to make another bracket that could handle all the weight from the dish. Now i haven't got the sats or the angle set (its set to straight default) but my movement on dish elevation is going to be restricted ( from going up 10 or 20 more degrees) so i might have to revert back to the reversed shaft.

thanks guys , i like the inverted bracket & reversed shaft best. lol

well today i went back out cause i couldn't hit my sat , and i know where it is and worked with it for about 2 hours with nothing. in the process i weakened my bracket and the only one i have ( you guessed it ) i have to flip my bracket back and reverse the shaft. so i do all that and tune in a satellite and .... nada nothing.... i know this is wrong.... so i get to thinking and i was being real careful but i have the lnb feeding in to a 22k switch then going to the motor so i take the switch out abd bam 90% quality , i was right there all along . well i don't know how i killed a switch but now i will have to fix a stronger bracket.... oh well it did make the day go by real fast .. although sometimes i would like for it to slow down a bit :)
i hope everyone is having a great weekend :)
