Aren't there other SA BD players already out there that have DTS-MA decoding such as the Panasonic DMP-BD30K? By this theory, the "other brand" player is already out there, so there should be no waiting for the PS3 to release their DTS-MA update....
Upon further research, the BD30 doesn't distinguish between DTS-MA and DTS-HD. It does have an HDMI 1.3 output though and will transmit the raw bitstreams of these formats via HDMI: DD+, TrueHD and DTS-HD.
