It seems pretty far fetched that they would replace a movie channel with a news channel.

BBC News World would be good, there is no need for CNN International as most of their programming are just simulcasts from CNN.
Hopefully, BBC World News will be added by Dish soon. Even some very tiny providers have it on their systems in this country so there is no legitimate reason Dish can't carry it.
Recently read an article that BBC World News will now be available through Comcast...

I hope that now this will make the Dish Network realize the demand for this channel is legitimate and hope that they will add it on Dish network lineup soon.

I don't think by adding BBC the bill will go up by 10%. May be they can remove one of the existing news channels and add BBC instead
If you are thinking Dish will Drop Fox, MSNBC, CNN, etc... you have stronger liquor than I can get.

I highly doubt that adding BBC World News would mean a 10% increase in our bill. I know the BBC is looking for more ways to earn money, but this isn't ESPN we are talking about here.
Maybe he's confusing Comcast with Cablevision? Otherwise, there's also Verizon FIOS and COX.
You're joking, right? I'm sure BBC World News would cost very little to add. And, Dish could use it as a tool to upsell to AT200 and higher.
After all, Dish is the leader in International programming. And, despite the fact they speak English, the UK is still a foreign country.
Actually, the more I think about it, the cheaper I think it would be for Dish. After all, it is available free-to-air. And, many of its programs are available for free on numerous PBS stations. So, it's obvious that the BBC isn't necessarily looking to make big bucks from it.
Want BBC World News here too. I don't mind CNN, or MSNBC, but I want a 24x7 news channel, too. Euronews is ok, but not as good as BBC or AJE. I often stream Al Jazeera English through my Roku/Google TV, but would prefer an actual channel where I wasn't using data bandwidth and one that I could put up in side by side PIP, and swap with my other tuner.
