Baseball Project Montreal

I should of kept the reply I got from him the morning after Loria dumped the players to Toronto...
IIRC, it started off with "that bast***".

As a fan, I want baseball back in Montreal. I remember some financial firm compiled some stats which concluded Montreal is the largest/vibrant/booming..whatever city without an MLB team. When we hear of relocation, The Rays are always mentioned as potentially moving to Montreal. Good for us, but real s**** for Florida.

Personally, I dont see the Rays moving, and if they do, it won't be to MTL.

Montreal has a great location... within 60 miles there's the borders of Ontario, VT, NH and NY...this can be a very large fan base.

Cheers, K

The Rays are in the same bad situation as the Marlins. TONS of baseball fans, just not of the local teams. There is no history in either cities and with all the New Yorkers, Bostonians, Chicagoans, Philadelphians(is that an actual word?! LOL) down here, there is NO WAY they would trade their alliances just because they moved.

Do they go to the games when their home teams come down?

Ive never been to a Rays home game (saw them a few times in MTL during inter-league). IIRC, the article I read stated the rays park is a bitch to get to so fans tend to stay at home and watch them on TV

It is a bad park. I went to a couple of the FLORIDA Marlins games up there and I hated it.
