Bad LNB???

I do have the PI hooked up in-line to the LNB. I mentioned the short patch cable just so i could test the voltage as close to the PI as i could. I then hooked it back up and went out to test at the LNB.

Any other tests for the LNB that you can think of?

I was just making sure you had the PI hooked up when you were trying to align it...

Just curious, does the LNB have a Green sticker on it ?

It would be on the LNB istelf.

Green sticker means it's a swm lnb, but by having only one connection on the lnb and having a power insertor I'm guessing you do have a swm lnb. And stickers can/do come off

Definitely try to swap receivers or lnb with your buddy. Pay attention to the setup type
