Bad HDMI Cable

how can you tell you have a Bad HDMI Cable? does your picture turn pink?, today i woke up and my tv couldn't turn on so my mom/brother spent all day looking at new tv so they order a "50 for me but so he got a "65 for his house and bought his "40 over for me for now, we hooked up in my room and that tv didn't turn on, so i guess my room finally when with all the electronic hooked up lol

Could you clarify for us, please? What do you mean, "wouldn't turn on." HDMI cable should have nothing to do with that.

well, i found out the pink picture was cause by bad update direcTV! the reason i this conclusion today i was trying to watch HBO and said i needed HDMI Cable but just turn my receiver off/on and the message when away

it all HBO channels, and the pink picture keep happen because that bad update, and i read on DBSTalk DirecTV knew about this problem before they released the update
