I have a 10 ' winegard dish with a 4 brace unknown winegard lnbf, it works for both C and KU band, a Thomson Saginaw actuator and a G.I. 4dtv 920 reciever. I am trying to catch sports backhauls out of western Mt. In the past I have known the Sat and transponder # but when I turn to those I get nothing but a blank screen.
Incidently I am located in Salem Or. Sometimes they even post a downlink
frequency and symbol rate that does me no good with this set-up.
If I bought a fta reciever with blind search would I be able to get this?
Could I just slave it to my G.I.920 and use that as my dish-mover.
Can T.V. stations use a narrow ku beam in Montana that I can't see out here? Thank you for your help. firtrader

Yes,:yes you can.

Check out my hardware below. :smug

Location makes makes no difference on the band width, but it could restrict what satellites you get.
