That makes it even more bizarre. I guess it's completely separate from FOX as far as negotiations.

prolly a fallingout between newscorp and baby first making E* an innocent party
Uh no, Dish removed the channel without even notifying them.
perhaps it was FOX's decision ( i.e. no press release on E* part at all) Its entirely possible the programming stream changed or perhaps they thought the 2-3 hundred people who subscribed to Baby First would never notice any way
No, you are wrong, stop making sh!t up.
good they can switch
good they can switch
here is what dish told me about babyfirst tv being removed:
Thank you for taking the time to contact us.
DISH Network understands your concern regarding your programming and we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. DISH Network has been in contract negotiations with Baby First for some time. Baby First has demanded outrageous contract terms for continuing to carry their channel. Instead of complying with their requests, we have to decided replace Baby First with a new channel, BabyTV.
With the addition of this great new channel, you will continue to see great original baby focused programming like Grandpa’s Gallery, Mr. Snail, Pim & Pimba and Emma’s Theatre.
For immediate assistance, you can also chat with a Customer Service Representative using our live chat option Contact Us - Live Chat With Customer Service - DISH. Our DISH Network chat representatives are available 7 days a week to help answer any questions you may have.
Thank you for your email.
Sincerely,

I wonder what people's reactions would be if E* raised the price of the channel 3$-5$
For this type of channel, most people would gladly pay for it. It's like asking an sports aficionado if s/he would pay an extra 3-5 bucks to, say ESPN and ESPN2 - heck, to a college sports aficionado if they'd pay extra 3-5 for ESPNU in HD.I wonder what people's reactions would be if E* raised the price of the channel 3$-5$
