AZBOX Azbox Ultra Audio pops/crackling even in setup menu

Hi everyone,

I've got an Azbox Ultra HD receiver running the latest firmware (0.9.5402), and it seems that when I tune the SD channels on the EWTN mux on 133W, I have audio problems. The audio repeatedly clips out momentarily, while the video remains stable and playing. It's similar to how it would sound if you had not quite aligned your dish well, but quiet popping sounds, no loud screeches. However, the dish is aligned well (>90Q on the ultra) and if I plug in my old Fortec Star receiver it doesn't have these audio issues.

Also, when I'm in the setup menu, periodically it has the same popping sound! It's a very quick, distinct popping sound.

Any ideas what might be causing it?

I've tried downgrading the firmware, but that didn't help so I went back to the 0.9.5402 version (latest).

LOL - okay, so it turns out that I have a bad SPDIF cable between my azbox and amplifier... problem solved

Was just going to mention to check your audio cable. Glad is sorted out!
