Azbox mini me Christmas vacation

Well my Azbox Mini Me finally arrived from Canada Thanks Pwrsurge for the great gift k:

The 14 day Priority Mail shipping time for about a 400 mile distance left me scratching my head.

Even though the shipping label said it came from Tonawanda, NY it was shipped from Toronto. That shouldn't have made much of a difference so I decided to pull up the tracking number. What came up on screen was just a little surprising

I ordered something a couple months or so ago from a place, which is located about 85 miles or so from me in Michigan. It went Priority Mail all the way down to the bottom of FLORIDA. It then sat there for a few days, came back up to Michigan to the same sort facility it originally left from, and then north from there up to me. The seller had the package properly labeled, so there was no way the post office should have made that mistake.

Nearly two weeks to arrive at my house. I could have walked there and back far sooner than that!

I order stuff from California via "FedEx Smart Post". Were the package company takes it to the Post Office and they finish the delivery. Montana is not that far from California, but they send the package to a post office in Kentucky to be mailed to Montana. Sounds stupid, but the main FedEx hub is there.

Our apologies for the delay in receiving your prize but I guess with a receiver as hot as the AzBox miniMe American Edition, we simply could not deny it taking a vacation in Hawaii!

Hopefully no sand or sea water got collected in the box during the trip!
