Automatic Read Receipt for PM

With the old software, the option for Read Receipts for private messages was checked by default. Is there an option to make it checked by default with the new software? I've looked all over for the option but can't find one.

I dont see an option to permanently leave it on but you can check the box for a read receipt. Its below the text box of the PM area.

I tried to click on it thinking it would stick but it didn't

I know you can click on it. I thought it would stick too. I'm so adjusted to NOT clicking it that I always forget.

You'll know the person read your message when they reply to you.... If they don't reply, maybe they don't want to. I hate read receipts. It's like "you've read my message, why haven't you replied yet ?".
