auto or blind scan

I always blind scan. There's occasional wild feeds there. The regular stations are mostly on 2 or 3 transponders, so if that is all you are interested in, just use autoscan to re-scan preprogrammed transponders.

thank you for the feed back, will a blind scan add extra tp's to the list and then give me alot of duplicates or will it only pick up the feeds.

Don't say what receiver you have, but I think most of the recent ones will create a transponder list, and ignore any channels you already have stored.
Both these I'm using will not duplicate channels if you scan again later, once it's stored in your box.

thank you very much I will try a blind scan and see what happens.I am using a veiwsat ultra and a vs pro.

Ultra handles that very well, it won't store duplicates on scans. some sats I scan every day, it's a
very good rec for lazy people like me who don't like having to delete the same things over and over .

auto scan only scans the existing info in the receiver. Blind scan will find all the new info

I use a auto scan once in a while on satellites like IA5 where the transponder info is usually the same
