It accepts a 2" OD mast - I can't comment on the stability of an adapter; I'm sure that depends on location and potential wind load.

Thanks for the response. An adpater would be a temporary solution. Too cold for me in January to dig a 3 foot hole and pour concrete. Solid Signal has one 12 inches in length.

Hello there!
I am very new but love Satellite technology and need a littl help.
I too am in Austin and would like to use my active 505 receiver as well. Can I use a Diectv Slimline 5 to just get the 111 and possibly the 107 as well? If not I will order a 75e dish as sated above. If I do need to get a new dish what l&b should I get?

you cannot use directv dish to receive shaw direct signal. if you get the 75e dish, you must use the lnb that comes with it.
