Audio Dropout on FOXEHD on *C

Over the past few weeks has anyone noticed the audio drop out on WJBK's HD feed on *C channel 287?

It's been tough to watch NASCAR and shows like House when the audio feed goes silent for 3-5 seconds. I haven't seen the issue on the other HD stations. Just wondering if it's happening to anyone else.

Well guess that can of worms has been really opened!

I knew that audio drop-outs coming in or out of a commercial break is caused by the local affiliate switching between their SD local and HD network feeds.

I work for a network affiliate and that drop-out happens here too. (It's caused by a cheap Master Control switcher) We literally switch our HD channel by little red push-buttons.

But the drop-outs during the middle of a program that's a different story. I'll add my data to digitalhome.ca tonight when I get home and can double check my settings.

I'm also glad to see someone from *C and Motorola are working on the problem.

On May 25, SBS switched WJBK-DT to WUTV-DT during prime time. This is similar to what they did last year with WDIV-DT when audio dropouts occurred.

If you hear/see any dropouts when WUTV-DT is substituted, SC would like feedback in the thread on Digital Home
