I have been a loyal Dish Network customer for 15 years. Four years ago I moved into a new house and through DishMovers my new dishes were installed and pointed at 61.5, 72 and 77. My signal level to 61.5 has always been low. But it has never really caused a problem except during heavy rain/snow. In addition, the Dish installer never mentioned any issue with during the installation. The other two locations have high signal About six months ago, one of my two hoppers started experiencing signal losses from channels on the 72 satellite. Dish has seen out technicians five times to fix the issue. During the last visit, they told me that that my signal on 61.5 is too low and because of this my dish need to be reported to 110, 119 and 129. They assured me that I would not lose my DC HD locals. Of course I was suspicious because this was easy to verify with The List. And I couldn’t figure out why a signal problem on one Hopper with a different satellite would require pointing to new locations. But I let him go ahead because he said he verified the location with Dish. And now I have lost my HD locals. I called the technician 20 minutes after he left telling him that what I had noticed and he promised to return. He did not. I called Dish this morning and pressured pretty hard to get someone out today. They called me back and told me I would hear from someone before the end of the day. I did not. I called dish back and was told that someone came out to my house , without m knowing, and measured the signal and 61.5 is too low. So they will not point me back.
I do not understand this. Why can’t my dish be pointed back as I have never had an issue with 61.5 the entire four years its been installed? The issue was with 72 and whatever issue it is, it’s not related to signal as signal to that dish is high.
What can I do?
